Head of Growth

About Prefect:

Are you looking for an incredible opportunity to work with a high-growth SaaS company? Our workflow orchestration platform bridges the gap between data engineers and data scientists, allowing them to do what they do best. We have one of the fastest-growing open-source communities and are committed to delivering value to all of our users, both open-source and commercial. We are looking for enthusiastic new additions to our team who are excited to eliminate negative engineering and answer the question: “What will you build?”

Why we’re hiring:

Prefect has a thriving open-source community as well as a rapidly-growing commercial product. As an open-core business, maintaining a balance between the two is critical to the company’s success: almost every one of our customer relationships began with a positive open-source user experience. As both our open-source and commercial products mature, it is imperative to maintain that strategic balance in order to create a feedback loop: open-source users become commercial champions, who in turn help Prefect software become a new standard for dataflow automation.

Role Summary:

The Head of Growth will be in charge of scaling Prefect’s user growth across both our open-source and commercial businesses. As part of this effort, you will be responsible for the strategy and processes that govern Prefect’s interactions with third parties, from prospective users to channel partners. You will oversee the entire customer lifecycle, from open-source awareness to enterprise champions. While the responsibilities listed below will be the core of your job, we are looking for a high-performing individual who will take initiative, proactively solve new problems, and create their own career path with us. • Own a product feedback loop between customers, users and product, marketing, and engineering

  • Act as a strategic partner to product, sales, customer success and engineering teams to prioritize opportunities and increase user retention

  • Drive open-source growth through a combination of increased awareness, ease of access, evangelism, distribution, or other unconventional methods

  • Increase our understanding of the open-source-to-commercial funnel, resulting in better sales leads and more informed commercial decisions

  • Establish Prefect’s value proposition through user feedback, case studies, and demonstrations

Qualifications (you must have):
