We're unveiling a new look for Prefect.
If you've seen our latest releases—FastMCP 3.0 yesterday, Prefect Horizon today—you've already noticed the change: new logo, new colors, and a layered design system that mirrors the transformation from raw data to agentic context.
This is a reflection of where we are and where we're going.
Layers
Everything we build turns complexity into clarity.
Prefect Cloud takes sprawling workflows and makes them observable, governable, understandable. Horizon takes a chaotic landscape of MCP servers and organizes it into a coherent platform. FastMCP takes the complexity of the protocol and makes it disappear behind a clean interface.
Layers upon layers, each one simplifying what's beneath it.
That's the metaphor at the heart of our new identity. Our products are layers. Our platform is layers. The way we think about automation—taking messy reality and structuring it into something you can trust—is fundamentally about building the right layers.
The Horizon
Our new color palette represents the "edge of dawn," drawing inspiration from the horizon as seen from space—where deep shadows give way to light, warmth, and clarity. Night to day, complexity to clarity.
We chose this imagery for a few reasons.
It speaks to a new era. AI agents are moving into production. The context layer is becoming real. The horizon is right in front of us.
It speaks to our roots. Prefect has always carried a bit of Hitchhiker's Guide DNA—a sense that the universe is vast and strange, but with the right tools and the right towel, you can navigate it. The space imagery honors that lineage while pointing forward.
And it connects to our newest product. Horizon isn't just a name. It's where we're headed.

When we started Prefect almost ten years ago, we had one product: an orchestration framework for data pipelines. Today we have a portfolio.
