Prefect with ChatGPT

Use Prefect in ChatGPT to investigate workflow runs and check your workspace.

Before you start

ChatGPT with access to the Prefect plugin and a Prefect Cloud account. No local Prefect installation is needed.

Setup

  1. Add the Prefect plugin

    Open the directory listing and add Prefect to ChatGPT.

  2. Connect your account

    Start a chat with Prefect selected, then follow the Connect prompt to sign in to Prefect Cloud. Adding the plugin alone does not connect your account.

Check the connected workspace

Paste this into your agent after connecting.

List the Prefect workspaces you can access. Ask me which workspace to use, then show its five most recent flow runs with their states. Do not change anything.

If the connection fails

If a chat cannot find Prefect after you connect, start a fresh chat with Prefect selected. Confirm you authorized the correct workspace. Workspace policies may restrict plugin access.
